The Palo Alto Family YMCA

The Best Way For You & Your Family To Stay Fit & Healthy!

Join the Palo Alto Family YMCA, and you join many other families who have found that the YMCA is more than a gym.
You’ll love our friendly, competent staff. You’ll be surprised at all the YMCA offers. It could be the best decision you make for you and your family. We even offer scholarships and support to those who need it.

Become Part of the Y Community

Everyone belongs at the YMCA.
We’re more than just a place to work out. Whether you’re just starting on the road to health and wellness or looking for the perfect family camping experience, whether you’re a veteran on the stairmaster, or you’re in your first year of belly dancing, you and your family will fit in at the Palo Alto Family YMCA.

For over 150 years, YMCAs have developed initiatives and programs that have helped improve the physical, social, emotional and spiritual health for millions of Americans in diverse communities across the country and around the world.

Today’s Palo Alto Family YMCA offers hundreds of health and fitness programs for youngsters, teens, singles, seniors and families. We also enable others in the community to become YMCA members through various financial aid programs.

A Focus on Youth & Families

In addition to being a state of the art fitness center, The Palo Alto Family YMCA offers over 50 youth programs--including after-school care programs, KidZone child care for children ages 7 to 13 while their parents work out, recreational swimming and lots of lessons, sports leagues and noon sports programs in public schools. Wellness Center Access for youth and teens is unsurpassed.

Leadership training and development; service learning through volunteering; computer training; college/career preparation; day camps and away camps for children and their families prove our YMCA is kid-friendly. And, a brand new scholarship program for graduating seniors was introduced in 2007.
Our Ventura Center facility offers young people a place to come after school for safe, productive activities—it encourages and supports academic improvement while helping to build self-esteem and develop healthy lifestyles.

Fun & Fitness To the Max

The Palo Alto Family YMCA is a full service fitness facility featuring a 25-meter lap pool, a recreational pool and Wellness Center that includes the latest weight and fitness equipment. In fact, we just remodeled the pool, and Wellness Center.

The Y also provides over 150 group-dance, yoga and exercise classes each week as well as personalized training programs, non-competitive youth and adult sports leagues and social opportunities for older adults and families.

Something for Everyone

Everyone can find many programs or activities to participate in at the YMCA. In addition, special programs such as a Special Needs Swim Program (SNAP), nutritional counseling and monthly Wellness lectures featuring local physicians are offered to members and the community free of charge. And, if we don’t offer it now, we probably have or will in the future.
